Job summary

Ceres Environmental Operations is seeking a dependable Trimmer to support vegetation management, storm cleanup, and debris removal. This hands-on outdoor role reports to the Superintendent and emphasizes safety and efficiency.

The position requires experience with chainsaw operation, outdoor labor, and reliable transportation. Benefits include medical, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. Located in Asheville, NC area with travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• Minimum 1 year outdoor labor, landscaping or vegetation management experience.
• Experience operating a small chainsaw and basic tools.
• Ability to work safely in physically demanding outdoor environments.
• Able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• OSHA 10 or safety training preferred.
• Experience with chippers, pole saws, brush cutters.
• Knowledge of tree trimming and debris handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate chainsaws and hand tools to cut limbs and debris safely and efficiently.
• Rake, gather, and remove vegetation and debris from work areas.
• Load and unload branches, limbs, brush onto trucks.
• Assist crews with storm recovery and debris removal.
• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and site requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas for safety.
• Communicate with supervisors and crew about progress and conditions.
