Job summary

Syngenta Seeds is seeking a Trialing Specialist Technician to support the Trialing Manager in executing research level yield trials on time, with high precision and accuracy in a safe, compliant manner during the growing season. This role includes a defined break period between seasons.

You will plant, maintain plots, spray, phenotype and harvest trials for corn, soybean and wheat, and operate equipment such as planters, drones, and combines, while ensuring data quality and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• AS degree in agricultural discipline preferred.
• Experience operating agricultural machinery is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations and work with a moderate level of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plant, maintain, spray, phenotype and harvest research yield plots.
• Operate and maintain plot equipment including planters, tractors and combines.
• Collect and manage high-quality data with accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate status and issues with peers and supervisors.
