Syngenta Seeds Field Crops in the United States is seeking a Research Associate 2 to support the Trait Evaluation regulated field trial network, executing yield trials in corn and soybeans with precision and compliance.

You will locate trial sites, plant, maintain plots, collect phenotyping data, and ensure paperwork and safety protocols are followed, working with drones, planters, and data systems to deliver high-quality data.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (preferably in an agriculture-related discipline) or a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience is required.
• Experience with precision agriculture equipment and software systems.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to acquire and maintain Part 107 FAA is desirable, Federal medical card to operate commercial vehicles is required, Class A CDL is desirable.
• Pesticide Applicators License is required.
• In-depth knowledge of agriculture and agronomy practices is required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience working with regulated material is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Locate and contract high quality testing locations, plant, maintain plots, spray, phenotyping, and harvest trials.
• Ensure all paperwork, documentation, and stewardship protocols are followed.
• Function as the key contact for testing locations.
• Operate agricultural machinery and research equipment (precision planters, drones, phenotyping equipment, combines).
• Adhere to safety and stewardship policies and complete required trainings.
• Supervise tasks by full-time and contract labor to achieve trial results.
• Communicate status of trials and data quality to peers and supervisors.
• Propose process improvements for local and regional sites.
• Support other activities as needed by business and team.
