Job summary

Terracon in the United States seeks a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to join our nationwide team. This role involves 100% travel across the Rocky Mountain division, covering Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon and Washington, and working on projects from transportation to wind farms.

You will perform testing, observation, and inspection, document findings, and assist senior technicians while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic data analysis before communication to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and calibration.
• Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.
• Follows safety rules and pre-task planning; reports safety issues.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
