Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Traveling Construction Materials Technician to support projects nationwide, with 100% travel across the Eastern Midwest division including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

You will perform field testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel, while maintaining documentation and ensuring safety standards on every site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience using laptop, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• Performs field testing, observation, and inspection as directed per training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission to PM.
• Communicates information to PM and team as directed by the PM.
• Maintains and calibrates assigned equipment and related tooling.
