Job summary

Bamberg Construction Unit is seeking personnel to assist in construction inspections under limited supervision, ensuring pavement markings follow project plans and temperature constraints. The role includes taking field notes, obtaining material samples, and data entry into the AASHTOWare Project system.

The position also involves gaining experience toward certification in multiple inspection disciplines, performing administrative duties, and assisting in traffic and erosion control inspections

Qualifications

• High school diploma or approved equivalence.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction inspections under limited supervision.
• Ensure pavement markings and other work comply with project plans and drawings.
• Assist in obtaining material samples and entering data into AASHTOWare Project.
• Gain experience to become certified inspector in related areas.
• Assist with administrative duties and traffic/erosion control inspections.
