Job summary

AEP in Indiana seeks a Transmission Line Supervisor to oversee field crews in the construction, maintenance and operation of transmission lines and stations. You will plan, schedule and coordinate work, assure safe and efficient activities, and request system clearances and outages as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Typically 5 years of transmission line construction or maintenance and operation experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills are preferred and essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise line crews in construction, maintenance, and operation of transmission lines.
• Ensure safety rules, proper equipment use, and personnel training.
• Procure materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
• Attend supervision and planning meetings and maintain records.
• Perform duties of Transmission Line Mechanic-A as required.
• Support employment decisions and organizational safety culture.
