Job description

As a Field Trainer, you will play a vital role in equipping employees with the skills and knowledge necessary for success on the job. This position is hands‑on and dynamic, focusing on delivering impactful training, supporting employee onboarding, and reinforcing safe work practices across various job sites. The Field Trainer acts as a bridge between training programs and field operations, ensuring that employees are prepared to perform their roles safely and effectively while supporting the company’s mission of operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver instructor‑led and hands‑on training at jobsites, training centers, and field locations to support employee onboarding, technical skill development, and operational consistency.
  • Reinforce OSHA requirements, company safety standards, and field procedures through practical application, observation, and coaching to promote a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Facilitate role‑based training and support workforce development initiatives, helping employees build the skills needed for effective field performance.
  • Observe field activities, provide coaching and feedback to employees, and collaborate with supervisors to reinforce training concepts and identify opportunities for skill development.
  • Coordinate training schedules, maintain accurate training records, track attendance and completion, and ensure training materials and resources are prepared for delivery.
  • Work closely with Workforce Development, Safety, Operations, and Field Leadership to align training activities with business priorities and operational schedules.
  • Provide feedback on training effectiveness and workforce capability gaps to support continuous improvement of training programs and employee development initiatives.
  • Perform related duties as needed to support business operations within the scope of the role.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction, field operations, workforce development, training, or related environments
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification
  • Working knowledge of construction safety requirements, jobsite operations, and field work practices
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to effectively train and engage adult learners in both classroom and field environments
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Ability to travel frequently to jobsites and training locations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel
  • Preferred: Experience in commercial roofing or related construction trades
  • Preferred: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
  • Preferred: Experience supporting workforce development, apprenticeship, or technical training programs
  • Preferred: Experience developing or adapting training materials and curriculum
