Job summary

Project Solutions Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to support the La Mina Trail reconstruction in El Yunque National Forest, Puerto Rico.

The role involves on-site inspection of trail, bridge, retaining wall and related infrastructure to ensure work meets contract requirements and safety standards in a remote outdoor setting. Responsibilities include daily field inspections, monitoring contractor performance, maintaining inspection records, and communicating results to project

Qualifications

Experience performing construction inspection and quality assurance on civil/transportation/trail projects.
Ability to monitor contractor performance and verify conformity with plans and contracts.
Experience inspecting trail reconstruction, bridges, retaining walls, and related site work.
Knowledge of concrete construction and testing methods.
Experience reviewing erosion and sediment control measures and environmental compliance.
Ability to interpret civil/architectural drawings and submittals.
Experience inspecting reinforcement layouts, aggregate placement, and compaction.
Proven ability to prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain records.
Comfort working in remote, rugged outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily field inspections to ensure work follows contract requirements, plans, specs, and quality standards.
Monitor contractor performance and identify deficiencies or non-compliant work.
Inspect materials, equipment, and workmanship for compliance with requirements.
Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports and logs.
Coordinate with CO/COR, contractors, and stakeholders on inspection results.
Monitor safety, erosion control measures, and regulatory compliance.
Review submittals, schedules, payroll, and other contract records as required.
Verify completed work for progress tracking and payment purposes.
Perform inspections across the riparian La Mina Trail project area, including trail, bridges and retaining walls.
