Job summary

The Town of Little Elm is seeking a Technician I–III to install, repair, and maintain electronic signs, school zone flashers, crosswalk beacons, traffic signals, and street lights. Under supervision, you will follow safety protocols and perform on-call duties as needed.

The role requires adapting to Town, State, and Federal standards and supports Integrity, Customer Service, Efficiency, and Innovation. Qualifications vary by level, from 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical/electronic traffic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of experience in installation/repair of electrical or electronic traffic control devices.
• May substitute training/education for experience as allowed by standards.
• Safety certifications may be required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate, fabricate, install and maintain electronic signs and related traffic control devices.
• Perform emergency and on-call duties as required.
• Follow safety practices to protect personnel and the public.
• Coordinate with teams to install signs, beacons, and lighting per standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of field activities.
