Job summary

Protect Environmental in Chicago is seeking a field technician to install radon testing devices in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires coordinating with facility owners to ensure proper installation and successful testing.

You will travel locally and nationally, complete paperwork accurately, and communicate with project teams to meet deadlines. The position demands punctuality, organization, and a valid driver's license for driving to remote sites.

Position Summary

This role is part of a critical team that tests the indoor air quality of residential and commercial buildings. It is responsible for installing radon testing devices and communicating with facility owners/coordinators to ensure proper installation and successful testing.

Essential Functions

Physical Demands and Work environment
  • This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, climbing stairsand lifting of equipment.
  • This job also uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filingcabinets, etc.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds
Travel Required
  • Up to 100% travel M-F, depending on the weekly schedule. Travel can be local in a vehicle or plane.
