Job summary

Sage Ag Inc. is seeking hardworking, self-motivated individuals to join our agricultural technology team in an experimental field test environment.

You will work with engineers, technicians, and customers to test real-time soil testing sensors and tillage operations, traveling extensively across the Midwest. Based out of Slater, Iowa, the role requires independent work and teamwork, with long hours and some night operations as tests run.

Qualifications

• Must have 250 hours of agricultural machinery operation.
• GPA 2.5+ in an agricultural major; AST or Ag Engineering preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with strong knowledge of precision agriculture equipment.
• Strong technology and computer troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willing to travel for six weeks or more at a time.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Outgoing with positive attitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to work in a team environment and alone.
• Able to work long hours, including some night operations.
• Ability to keep accurate and detailed records of work performed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operation of sensors and tillage tools.
• Report machine issues to design engineers.
• Gather data on crop condition and test data.
• Upload data to software engineers.
• Perform frequent software updates.
