Job summary

Applied Research Associates (ARA) seeks an individual to support field testing with engineers and scientists at ARA’s Moriarty Range, NM, with other locations at Kirtland AFB and White Sands Missile Range. The role covers fabrication of structures, welding, carpentry, machining, surveying, plumbing, electrical mechanics, and pneumatics.

Teamwork, problem solving and safety are essential. Responsibilities include pre/post-test setup, test conduction, data collection, and site cleanup.

Qualifications

• DoD security clearance is required.
• US citizenship is required.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear and pass fit tests for respirators.
• Read and understand project drawings and specs.
• Welding capability and certification possible.
• Two years of general construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of test articles and test site preparation.
• Test conduction and data collection.
• General cleanup and test support setup.
