Job summary

Pedigree Technologies is expanding its field services in the Fargo/Moorhead area and seeks a Field Installation Technician. The role focuses on hands-on hardware installations, testing, and ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering quality site work and professional communication.

Based in the Fargo, ND area, you will travel regionally as needed, collaborate with the Installation Services team, and uphold safety standards while documenting activities and supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification a plus.
• Mechanical background with hands-on electronics, telematics installations and related equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic systems, cabling, wiring, and telecommunications or telematics hardware.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel as needed.
• Willingness to learn Pedigree Technologies’ proprietary hardware and installation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on installation of Pedigree Technologies hardware — GPS/telematics devices, sensors, cameras, and wiring harnesses across vehicles and equipment, following procedures and quality standards.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues during installation; route, secure, and terminate cables per safety standards and company guidelines.
• Serve as on-site representative, maintain clear communication with customers and walk them through installations.
• Accurately document installation activities — parts used, time on site, issues encountered and photos for quality review.
• Coordinate with Installation Services team on scheduling, logistics, and project prioritization; participate in training and process improvement.
