Job summary

VodafoneThree is seeking a Field Engineer to maintain and optimise critical fixed and mobile networks across Yorkshire. The role covers Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, York and surrounding areas, with on-call duties and a 37.5-hour week.

You’ll install, commission, and troubleshoot network equipment, ensuring service quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a telecoms/electronics/engineering background, driving licence, and the ability to obtain SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Relevant telecoms/electronics/engineering background with a technical discipline.
• Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting telecommunications.
• Knowledge of Cisco/Juniper/ADVA equipment and associated network tech.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain fixed and mobile network equipment to high standards.
• Diagnose faults and restore services while meeting SLAs.
• Work across technologies including DWDM, Ethernet, fibre, copper and microwave links.
• Collaborate with field teams, NOC, project managers and customers.
• Follow health, safety and quality standards at all times.
• Identify process improvements to drive operational excellence.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and colleagues.
