Job summary

System One is seeking an Engineering Technician based in Oklahoma City, OK, for a 100% travel contract assignment to support installation and commissioning of communications racks, power circuits, cabling, and related infrastructure.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot systems, assist in testing and verification, and provide field technical support across diverse environments. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required, with 5+ years in fiber optics or telecom preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with fiber optics, telecom systems, RF communications, or complex electronic equipment is preferred (5+ years).
• OTDR testing, telecom cabling, wireless systems, or communications infrastructure experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support site preparation for contractor installation of communications racks and related infrastructure.
• Install power circuits, grounding, outlets, cabling trays, conduits as per engineering packages.
• Assist in fiber optic cabling, telecom infrastructure, monitors, and communications equipment.
• Support LTE antenna installation activities and establish cable pathways.
