Job summary

McAllister seeks a hands-on sewer maintenance crew member in California to safely operate Jet/Vac equipment and assist with inspections, cleaning, and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewer systems.

This role requires physical fitness, willingness to travel out of town, and ability to lift 50 lbs; preferred are recent Class A/B vehicle experience and tanker endorsement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience operating a Class A or B vehicle.
• Tanker endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Jet/Vac equipment (training provided).
• Support sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation tasks.
• Work with crew to ensure inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehab.
• Load materials and equipment for transport to the job site.
• Work in extreme weather conditions.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Properly operate and maintain Jet/Vac equipment {Will Train}
• Performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Work effectively with supervisors and all members of the crew to ensure successful inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems.
• Load materials and equipment into vehicles for transportation to and from the job site.
• Able to work in the elements - extreme cold and heat for long duration.
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Preferred 3-5 years of experience operating a Class A or B Vehicle
• Tanker Endorsement
