Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC Livermore, Maine, United States is seeking a Field Technician with CDL to join our team. You will operate Jet/Vac equipment and support sewer maintenance, inspection, and rehabilitation projects in challenging outdoor environments.

High school education or equivalent is preferred, with 3–5 years driving a Class A/B vehicle and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Drug testing and DOT compliance apply; relocation/out-of-town work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience operating a Class A or B vehicle.
• Capable of following instructions and on-the-job training.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Tanker Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Jet/Vac equipment.
• Support sewer maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation tasks.
• Work with crew to ensure inspections, cleaning, repairs and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewer systems.
• Load materials and equipment into vehicles for transportation to and from the job site.
• Able to work in the elements - extreme cold and heat for long duration.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Properly operate and maintain Jet/Vac equipment {Will Train}
• Performs all work tasks required to support execution of sewer maintenance, inspection and/or rehabilitation pipeline tasks
• Work effectively with supervisors and all members of the crew to ensure successful inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems.
• Load materials and equipment into vehicles for transportation to and from the job site.
• Able to work in the elements - extreme cold and heat for long duration.
• Can lift, push/pull, carry 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to enter and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to operate a variety of simple and complex tools.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Preferred 3-5 years of experience operating a Class A or B Vehicle

• Ability to work overtime and out of town/state.
