Job summary

Gemini Water LLC, a BluMetric Company, seeks an Operator Field Technician for a temporary assignment supporting water and wastewater treatment projects. The role requires hands-on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SWRO/MBR systems with field travel to client sites.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of field experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and a technical diploma in a related field. Excellent communication and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on field technician or operations experience.
• Technical diploma or certification in Environmental Science/Water Treatment or related field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with pumps, valves, filtration systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Water Treatment Operator Certification.
• Knowledge of SCADA and remote monitoring tools is an asset.
• OSHA or safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, installation, and commissioning of water treatment systems at client sites.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on water treatment equipment and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor system performance, collect samples, and record operational data.
• Complete client reporting and documentation related to site activities and system performance.
• Support and follow safe work practices, including OSHA SOPs.
• Improve field documentation and reporting processes.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work across fabrication, installation, commissioning, and operations.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding system performance.
• Maintain accurate service records, logs, and equipment checklists.
• Travel to various project sites as required.
