Job summary

PURIS is hiring a Field Technician - Construction Laborer in Houston, TX. This role supports sewer and stormwater rehabilitation projects, working with supervisors and peers to locate, inspect, and clean lines. CDL preferred, heavy lifting, and travel may be required.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and prior outdoor construction experience; confinement-space awareness and safety certifications are a plus. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and life insurance are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in physical outdoor labor required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• CDL preferred and clean driving record.
• Experience with manholes and confined spaces is implied.

Responsibilities

• Work with supervisors and peers on water and sewer rehabilitation projects.
• Direct equipment alignment and machinery movement to fit location needs.
• Assist in setup and cleanup of job sites; lift 50+ lbs.
• Review entry and work permits; assist in reviewing installation videos.
• Enter manholes/confined spaces as needed.
• Perform job site setup and cleanup.
• Haul equipment and crew members by driving various vehicles.
• Submit work orders for vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Monitor safety hazards and report issues to supervisor.
• Additional tasks as assigned.
