Qualifications

• Required: A high-school diploma or equivalent.
• Required: Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Effectively and clearly communicate and present information one-on-one and in a group.
• Required: Demonstrate proficiency in basic office applications and data entry. Must be willing to learn mapping collection software applications.
• Required: Perform basic arithmetic computations.
• Required: Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report and completion of Davey Driver’s Safety Course.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a lone worker when required, demonstrating independence and self-sufficiency.
• Collaborate with a partner as needed to coordinate schedules, hours, and locations.
• Fulfill weekly production targets to meet client expectations and timelines.
• Perform field audits of existing utility infrastructure by visually identifying, inspecting, and recording information.
• Use hand-held computers, GPS units, cameras and other field technology.
• Record field observations accurately and completely.
• Communicate with property owners and agencies to arrange access.
• Drive and maintain a company vehicle in various terrains and weather conditions.
• Read maps and navigate routes using GPS, maps, compass, or other methods.
• Recognize safety risk conditions and adhere to federal standards and client specs.
• Review and correct data integrity errors in GIS databases.
• Comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform light maintenance on utility infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, Technicians, and Administrators.
• Travel 75-100% for on-site duties.
