Davey Tree Expert Company seeks an entry-level UAM Field Technician 1 in Oklahoma City, OK. You will plan, design, and verify locations related to utility infrastructure while learning under supervision.

This role operates in a field environment and may require working alone or as part of a pair, with travel to client sites as needed. The position emphasizes safety, data accuracy, and collaboration with project managers and technicians.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in basic office apps and data entry; learn mapping software.
• Read and communicate clearly; follow instructions and present information.
• Basic arithmetic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and travel up to 75%.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR; complete Davey Driver’s Safety Course.
• Willingness to learn mapping collection software.
• Preferred: experience in electric utility or outdoor environments.
• Preferred: ability to identify electric or communications equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently or as part of a two-person team as needed.
• Meet weekly production targets and assist with field data collection.
• Audit field utility infrastructure; record observations accurately.
• Use GPS, hand-held devices, cameras, and other field tech.
• Read maps, navigate terrains and weather conditions safely.
• Communicate access needs with property owners and agencies.
• Travel 75%–100% for on-site duties and deliver timely results.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain vehicles and tools.
