Job summary

Aerowave Technology is seeking a Radio Service Technician to install and support MOTOTRBO systems, including DMR configurations, dispatch consoles, and IP networking. The role emphasizes hands-on RF troubleshooting and field service to deliver reliable communications.

You will work in person with a focus on customer satisfaction, supporting a diverse client base and ensuring optimal Radio/DAS/BDA performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Motorola MOTOTRBO infrastructure, Digital Conventional, IPSC and CPMS/LCP, Capacity Max, trunking, or a similar field.
  • Experience with Motorola Solutions CPS, CPS 2.0 and/or Radio Management/RM.
  • Experience in antenna design, duplexers, combining equipment and related test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Service Monitors, RF Tuning).
  • Experience diagnosing radio interference issues.

Responsibilities

  • Install and provide technical support for VHF/UHF digital Motorola DMR systems.
  • Program subscriber code plugs for mobile/portable equipment for multiple DMR channels.
  • Program MOTOTRBO Digital features and Dispatch consoles.
  • Troubleshoot RF technologies and deploy radios in vehicles and buildings.
  • Pull and terminate RF and network cabling; deploy IP networking for Motorola systems.

Job Summary

As Radio Service Technician, you will be a key member of the organization and play an important role in Client Satisfaction. Job Requirements
  • Install and provide technical support for VHF/UHF digital Motorola DMR conventional & trunked systems.
  • Program subscriber code plugs for mobile and portable subscriber equipment for different DMR channel types (Conventional, Capacity Plus Multi Site/LCP, Capacity Plus, Connect Plus, and Capacity Max).
  • Program MOTOTRBO Digital features, such as Digital Emergency, Phone Patch, Call Alert, Text, GPS and Data.
  • Implement Dispatch consoles - such as AvTec or SmartPTT.
  • Troubleshoot RF technologies related to two-way radio
  • Use a service monitor/spectrum analyzer/VNA and other test equipment for RF related troubleshooting and tuning.
  • Install and repair Distributed Antennas Systems/DAS and Bidirectional Amplifier/BDA systems.
  • Tune duplexers, combiners, and filters.
  • Install/deploy radios and communication equipment in vehicles, buildings, and heavy equipment.
  • Pull indoor and outdoor network and RF cabling.
  • Terminate different types of networks, RF, and electrical cabling.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot the IP networking side of MOTOROLA radio systems using IP networks that include subnets, VLANS, gateways, and IP addresses.
  • Troubleshoot basic DC electrical issues in fixed, mobile, and handheld equipment.
Preferred Skillsets
  • Experience with Motorola MOTOTRBO infrastructure, Digital Conventional, IPSC and CPMS/LCP, Capacity Max, trunking, or a similar field.
  • Experience with Motorola Solutions CPS, CPS 2.0 and/or Radio Management/RM.
  • Experience in antenna design, duplexers, combining equipment and related test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, Service Monitors, RF Tuning).
  • Experience in diagnosing radio interference issues.
  • Experience in battery backup systems, power amplifiers, phone patches and cross-band radio interoperability.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking, subnets, VLANS, gateways, and IP addressing
  • Experience with basic DC electricity and use of a Multimeter/DMM.
  • Experience with using RF power meter to measure forward and reverse RF power on antenna and coax systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Expected hours: 40 per week
