Job summary

Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to join our safety-focused team. You will gain hands-on experience with traffic control setups, flagging, and DOT-compliant sign operations at project sites. This role supports fast-paced field work across our regional operations.

Must be able to lift 80 lbs, pass required general knowledge tests, hold a valid DOT certification, and follow supervisor directions with acute attention to detail in live-traffic environments.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months experience as Traffic Control Apprentice
• Passed general knowledge tests – Temporary sign, Lane Closure, and Flagging
• Current DOT certification
• Able to lift 80 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Able to load & unload dispatch trucks
• Capable of following directions from supervisor with attention to detail
• Safe work practices around live traffic
• Ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment
• Able to calculate measurements
