Job summary

WSB seeks a Field Technician to join our subsurface utility engineering team. You will locate, document, and verify underground utilities using electromagnetic locators, GPR, GPS, and vacuum excavation techniques in diverse field environments.

Responsibilities include data collection, field verification, and coordination with project teams while adhering to One Call/811, OSHA, and company safety policies. Travel to project sites is often required year-round.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with utility locating equipment, GPS data collection devices, vacuum excavation or similar field tech is preferred.
• Ability to read utility maps, plans, and construction documents; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsurface utility investigations using electromagnetic locators, GPR, and other locating technologies.
• Locate, mark, and document underground utilities including electric, gas, telecom, fiber, water, and sewer.
• Conduct designation and verification activities per procedures and industry standards.
