Job summary

Southern Star in Texas is seeking technicians to install and service DISH TV, Starlink Internet, and home entertainment systems. You begin with paid training at $20 per hour, then progress to a $25 per hour base during a 9-month post-training period, with bonuses and commissions.

The role includes up to 20% travel, a $1,000 trained/active bonus, and first-year earnings of $50k–$60k, or $60k–$85k+ for experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to scale ladders up to 38 ft and access crawl spaces.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% with lodging and per diem covered.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Sales ability to upsell products and services during installations.
• Clear background, drug screen, and MVR required.

Job description

Training/Base pay rate of $20.00 per hour. The Base rate increases by .50 upon completion of training.

We have a Guaranteed Hourly Rate of $25.00 per hour upon completion of training through your first 9 months. This allows time to build your bonus and commission skills.

If your post-training base rate, plus bonuses and commission don’t bring you to the Guaranteed Hourly Rate, we will increase your pay. However, the earning potential is much higher!

Schedule:

This position requires working 5 days a week, which includes working on holidays. Your designated days off each week will be Sunday and Monday.

Bonus Opportunity:

Earn a Trained and Active Bonus of $1000.00, half of which you receive at approximately 60 days and the other at approximately 6 months.
