Job summary

Lockheed Martin RMS is seeking an operations and maintenance technician for the Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) Land Based Tactical Trainer (LBTT) in Jacksonville, FL. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair to ensure systems are ready for training.

The role includes installing hardware/software upgrades, maintaining inventories, and managing spare parts while supporting a diverse, multi-disciplinary engineering team.

THE WORK

We want you to be a part of the Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) program where you will function as an operations and maintenance technician supporting the MMSC Land Based Tactical Trainer (LBTT) located in Jacksonville Florida. The roles and responsibilities involve conducting preventative maintenance on training system equipment, troubleshooting, and repairing failures to maintain optimal readiness, and ensuring that the LBTT is ready for use by energizing and configuring systems in preparation for training conduct. Additional responsibilities include installing system hardware, software and firmware upgrades and modifications, maintaining equipment inventory records, and managing the inventory of spare parts in support of the LBTT.

Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
• Knowledge and experience interpreting drawings, wiring diagrams and plans.

Preferred Experience With MIL-SPEC And COTS

• equipment including computers, display systems, communications systems, and peripherals used in surface ship combat systems

Desired Skills

• Extensive knowledge of equipment and systems software.
• A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of preventive and demand maintenance techniques and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $60300.00 - $112100.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
