Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering in Lakewood/Denver area is seeking a Senior Field Technician to deliver electrical field services, assist with design and analysis, and support commissioning of protective relaying and SCADA systems. You will mentor staff, coordinate with engineers and clients, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years substation testing experience, a high school diploma (associates preferred), and NETA II/III or NICET II certification; familiarity

  • 3+ years of substation testing experience.
  • NETA II/III or NICET II certification is required or preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Performs equipment, control system, troubleshooting, relay testing, start-up, and commissioning services.
  • Lead team of varying skill levels for multiple markets and scopes.
  • Provides onsite construction support and supervision; attends RFIs and design updates; coordinates with Engineers, Owners, Vendors and Contractors.
  • Prepares field testing, troubleshooting, investigation, and construction progress reports.
  • Reviews the work of Designers, Drafters, and Field Service Personnel for quality and accuracy.
