Job summary

KC Harvey Environmental in Tioga, North Dakota, is hiring multiple environmental Field Technicians to support vegetation management, stormwater control, and reclamation activities in Tioga.

This seasonal, hourly role runs April through November 2026, with starting pay of $20/hour, overtime potential, and furnished lodging for out-of-town team members. Travel to project sites and long hours in rugged terrain are expected.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
• ND pesticide applicator license preferred or willingness to obtain within two weeks (license cost reimbursed).
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel regularly to various project sites.
• Ability to stay in hotel accommodations and work remotely from home base for extended periods.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Work in adverse weather conditions and rugged terrain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor.
• Comfort with tablets and mapping software.

Responsibilities

• Operate herbicide spray equipment on trucks, ATVs/UTVs, or backpacks.
• Mix herbicide solutions accurately and safely per guidelines.
• Support land reclamation and restoration activities.
• Learn to identify native and invasive plant species (training provided).
• Use ArcGIS Collector on tablet devices for data collection.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Be available for early start times and extended workdays, including remote terrains.
