Job summary

KC Harvey Environmental is seeking eight seasonal Reclamation Monitoring Field Technicians based in Rawlins, Wyoming. The roles run May through August, with full-time field work, data collection, vegetation monitoring, and stormwater inspections at 20–30 sites daily.

Positions require 2 years of undergrad coursework in natural resources or related fields, field plant ID experience, and strong safety awareness. Lodging is provided for out-of-town team members; benefits eligible for project staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of undergraduate coursework completed; natural resource-related fields preferred.
• Field experience or coursework in western plant identification including grasses.
• Familiarity with major plant families and flora of high desert and sagebrush steppe.
• Commitment to safety standards.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol testing.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Experience following field protocols for sampling and data collection.
• Experience with data entry and electronic devices.
• Experience driving 4WD trucks; valid license and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reclamation monitoring and stormwater inspections following standardized protocols.
• Accurately complete vegetation assessments, stormwater inspections, and forms using a tablet.
• Maintain logs to track project completion.
• Navigate and map using ArcGIS Field Maps.
• Assist on other related projects as needed (weed control, soil sampling, etc.).
