Job summary

ABC Docks LLC in Franklin, TN is seeking an Overhead Door & Dock Equipment Technician to join our hands-on field team. You will install, service, and repair overhead doors, dock levelers, seals, and related equipment for commercial and industrial customers in the Nashville area.

The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead doors, loading dock equipment, or related mechanical/industrial systems preferred
• Basic electrical knowledge, including low-voltage wiring and motor operators
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and in varying weather conditions
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a self-motivated, problem-solving mindset
• Excellent customer service and professional communication skills

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair overhead doors, dock levelers, dock seals, and related loading dock equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on commercial and industrial door systems
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on dock equipment and overhead door systems
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic dock levelers
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner across the greater Nashville, TN area
• Communicate effectively with customers on-site regarding repairs, timelines, and recommendations
• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory, and work orders
