Job summary

Clearwater Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Field Technician I to operate in the field, collecting data from residential and commercial locations and assisting with maintenance of water and wastewater systems.

You will review service orders, read meters, and log data for assigned routes. Under supervision you will repair and replace broken mains and service lines, inspect for defects, communicate issues to the Project Manager, and drive a company vehicle for meter readings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records.
• Entry-level, 1+ years' experience in water/wastewater or public works preferred.
• Ability to understand water systems and concepts.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on-call.

Responsibilities

• Review service orders to determine locations where meter readings need to be performed.
• Read water meters and enter data in route logs.
• Maintains required paperwork and logs in compliance with Federal, State and local rules and regulations.
• Inspect meters and connections to determine defects, faults and damages.
• Under direct supervision, repairs and/or replaces broken water mains and service lines, maintains & assists with minor repairs of the water/wastewater systems.
• Communicate problems with meters or incorrect readings to the Project Manager.
• Operates a company vehicle to conduct meter readings for assigned route.
• Connect and disconnect utility services as directed.
• Ensure that all data in the utility log book is maintained correctly, and kept updated.
• Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, clean-ups, pruning, and other typical landscape maintenance tasks.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
