Job Summary

This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop, including diagnosing, parts ordering, technical report writing, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and components, develop repair plans and sequences
• Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, with quality assurance testing
• Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling usage, service reports, and work orders
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors
• Manage parts and tools through the company's systems
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience and competence.

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, handle, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, and communicate effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, weather, extreme temperatures, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
