Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Field Technician for the Lindsay Area Gathering in Lindsay, OK. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations, with a 7:30 am–4:00 pm schedule and a required online assessment after application.

Responsibilities include inspecting pipelines and dehydration systems, starting/stopping gas compression, and maintaining various mechanical and EP facilities. Local travel within 60 minutes of Lindsay is required.

What To Expect

The Field Technician, Lindsay Area Gathering is responsible for operational, mechanical and instrument & electrical functions, including inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. This position is based in the Lindsay, OK area (about 60 miles south of Oklahoma City). This position works a 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday to Friday work schedule with a call out rotation to cover overtime.

What You’ll Do

• Conducting routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory), operating liquid handling systems, and operating dehydration systems.
• Conducting pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.
• Being responsible for starting up, shutting down, and operating gas compression equipment.
• Maintaining pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, exposures.
• Performing maintenance and repair of engines, compressors, and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling, and lubrication systems (auxiliary).
• Performing maintenance and repair of pumps and associated components, such as amine, glycol, condensate, NGL, etc.
• Performing maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.
• Performing maintenance and repair of fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.
• Conducting routine inspection, calibration, and repair of end devices such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, loop tuning, etc.
• Conducting routine inspection, calibration, and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer).
• Conducting routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of communications equipment, and sampling system.
• Conducting the product composition, quality sampling, and testing process according to company standards.
• Maintaining PLC, HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves, and actuators.
• Maintaining and repairing motor control equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing prime movers and pumps.

What You’ll Bring - Required

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Currently live and/or relocate within a 60 minute drive of the work location to respond to occasional call outs as needed
• Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Periodically pull/push doors open to move around the field locations
  • Occasionally exert pulling force of 100 pounds
  • Occasionally climb A-frame ladders
  • Regularly stoop, squat, kneel and/or crouch for durations up to 30 minutes
  • Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Work a call-out rotation schedule
  • Work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
  • Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines
  • Work in loud environment
  • Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (including but not limited to items such as steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection, fall protection)

What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred

• Completion of Tech school program
• 5 or more years of oil and gas operations experience
• Work experience in mechanical maintenance, instrumentation and electrical maintenance, or measurement

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $64,980 - $122,100.
