Job summary

WM is seeking a Gas Operations Technician I to operate and maintain landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS) to meet regulatory requirements. The role involves data collection from the wellfield, on-call responses, and adherence to safety protocols.

As part of WM, you will work with field equipment, calibrate electronic data devices, and support maintenance of piping and pumps while developing a stronger understanding of environmental regulations governing GCCS operations.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain GCCS to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance.
• Calibrate, operate and maintain data collection devices for gas collection.
• Collect and manage data from wellfield extraction and monitoring locations.
• Implement the preventative maintenance plan for GCCS.
• Operate pumps and manage liquid containment structures and LFG wells.
• Adjust valves and interpret data from wellfield systems.
• Work with PVC/HDPE piping and related equipment for maintenance.
