Job Title: Field Technician/Laborer (Full-time)
Department: Industrial Cleaning and Maintenance Services
Performs field duties and manual labor associated with spill response, environmental, industrial and asbestos projects. Work may include confined space entry, use of various small hand tools, cleaning interiors of boilers, storage tanks, industrial processing tanks, kilns or ovens to remove emulsion and incrustations by performing the following duties.
Job Description
Operate Commercial Vehicles, Vacuum Trucks, Water Blasters or Heavy Equipment associated with spill response, environmental remediation, industrial cleaning and asbestos abatement projects.
Pipeline and refinery experience is a plus.
Travel and training costs are covered by Allied.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training is preferred but not necessary.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, this individual may need basic skills using a tablet, cellular phone or personal computer.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
The following are preferred but not required - Commercial Driver's License (A or B) with endorsements to drive vehicles, operate heavy equipment, as well as proficient use of a water blaster, and 40-hour HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) certificate.
