Job summary

Stowers Machinery Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician III to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment at customer sites. The role emphasizes expert troubleshooting, on-site diagnostics, and timely service to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Qualified candidates will have Caterpillar equipment experience, hydraulic/electrical/powertrain familiarity, and 5+ years in heavy equipment repair, with CDL preferred. Extensive travel and consistent safety adherence are expected.

Description

The Field Service Technician III is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and machinery at customer job sites. This role ensures optimal performance of equipment through expert troubleshooting and timely service, while delivering exceptional customer support.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills on heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.

• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Caterpillar equipment experience.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Mental focus for troubleshooting complex systems under time constraints.

Work Environment

• Primarily field-based with exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Frequent travel to customer sites within assigned territory.
• Standard business hours with occasional overtime and on-call duties.
