Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Field Technician II in Middletown, DE to perform testing and inspection services on active construction sites. You will work outdoors, interpret site drawings, and contribute to quality results as part of a collaborative team.

This temporary role requires 2+ years of CT experience, OSHA 10, and relevant certifications; travel and occasional overtime may be needed as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/equivalent; Associates Degree in engineering and science related field.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• ICC certification for Construction Material Testing preferred; At minimum ACI, Asphalt and Nuclear Density Gauge certifications; OSHA 10 required.
• Geotechnical knowledge useful; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily reports and testing documents fully and on time.
• Transport, handle and maintain equipment and supplies responsibly.
• Interpret civil engineering site drawings and structural details.
• Assist with asphalt or concrete coring.
• Perform soil moisture-density tests and test borings or field permeability tests.
• Communicate effectively with management, contractors, and clients in writing and verbally.
• Work independently with supervision and follow safety policies.
