Job summary

Lineage is seeking an entry-level Field Technician to join our service team in Lenexa, KS. You will receive hands-on training alongside experienced technicians while developing skills in equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer service.

This role emphasizes on-site service with a focus on learning, safety, and building relationships with customers. You’ll work with mail handling equipment, printers, and related systems as you grow your technical abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification, technical school training, or an associate degree preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in electro‑mechanical systems.
• Comfortable working with computers and common software platforms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn from experienced technicians and apply training independently.
• Customer‑service mindset and professional demeanor.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Learn from experienced technicians and progressively take on more responsibility.
• Shadow technicians and learn installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Perform basic equipment setup and preventive maintenance.
• Install, service, and maintain mailing and document handling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve basic mechanical, electrical, and equipment issues.
• Prepare accurate service documentation and reports.
• Provide basic technical support to customers and end-users.
• Deliver courteous, professional on-site service and build customer relationships.
