Job summary

Lumen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician I in Alabama to support asset management, install and test network components, and maintain critical infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, provisioning, and coordinating shipping/receiving of materials while updating logs and tickets.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year in network monitoring or related work, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. On-call duties and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in network monitoring, installation, or maintenance/repair.
• Knowledge of fiber locating, OTDR and related field tech concepts is a plus.
• On-call 24x7 rotational schedule and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots network equipment and restores services.
• Assists in installation, provisioning, testing of NG technologies and customer premises equipment.
• Maintains asset records and replenishes on-site materials.
