Job summary

UES, a leader in geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting, is seeking a motivated Field Technician I to join our Jacksonville, FL team. This role involves conducting on-site inspections, materials testing, and environmental sampling to ensure project compliance with industry standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and some field-based experience, as well as strong organizational and problem-solving skills. The position requires approximately 70% travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of field-based experience preferred in construction, materials testing, or geotechnical.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and materials testing to ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform pre- and post-construction surveys.
• Travel to job sites and complete paperwork as required.
