Job summary

Master Meter Odessa, Texas is seeking a Field Technician I to install, troubleshoot, and maintain smart water meters and AMR/AMI systems. You will support the sales team and distributors, train utility partners, and report data while traveling across the west Texas region.

Candidates should have an Associate degree or equivalent, basic electronics knowledge, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 80% overnight, a clean driving record, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Installation, basic electronics, or equivalent experience.
• One-year technical customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to install, repair, and maintain products and systems.
• Knowledge of meter technologies with RF data devices preferred.
• Strong Excel and database skills preferred.
• Clean driving record and eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for AMR/AMI systems on-site.
• Oversee AMR/AMI equipment installations as needed.
• Diagnose issues with communication and electrical systems.
• Maintain communication with property staff and management.
• Maintain documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate with team to improve operational effectiveness.
