Job summary

AMH in Savannah, GA is seeking a Field Technician Maintenance to perform repairs, troubleshooting, installation and ongoing maintenance at AMH properties. You’ll ensure the homes stay functional and safe, while keeping a clean, safe work environment and updating maintenance orders as required.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma/GED (assoc degree or tech cert a plus), 2+ years in residential maintenance (5+ years if no degree), a valid driver’s license, and proficient use of hand/power tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED preferred; assoc degree or technical training a plus.
• 2+ years in residential/property maintenance; 5 years if no degree.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift 75 lbs; comfortable with ladders.
• Familiar with hand/power tools; HVAC experience; EPA Type II where required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; OSHA safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot water heater, plumbing, garage door, irrigation, and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs including carpentry, drywall, roofing, and fencing.
• Ensure HVAC systems are operational and perform tune-ups.
• Maintain tools/equipment; complete mobile work orders timely.
• Coordinate with vendors/tenants as needed.
