Job summary

PROPWR seeks a Field Technician - Recip Operator to operate and maintain gas reciprocating engine packages used in power generation. The role focuses on monitoring, routine checks, and responding to abnormalities to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations.

The ideal candidate will read electrical and control drawings, communicate with the Remote Operations Center, and support inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities across day and night shifts in Midland,

Qualifications

• 1 year of gas turbine operations or electrical experience.
• Able to read electrical and control drawings.
• Able to work 12+ hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain gas reciprocating engine packages.
• Monitor control panels and instruments for optimal parameters.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Center for fault finding.
• Evaluate equipment readiness after shut-down events.
• Maintain logs and records of operations and maintenance.
• Lead troubleshooting on equipment and interfaces.
• Follow HSE policies and wear PPE.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of assets.
• Perform visual inspections and walk-arounds.
• Work in all weather conditions and respond to emergencies.
