Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services LLC is seeking an entry-level Recip Technician to operate, monitor, and maintain gas reciprocating engine power generation packages in our field operations. This role emphasizes safety, preventive maintenance, and reliable performance.

The position follows a 28 days on / 28 days off rotation, with extended shifts that may include days, nights, weekends and holidays, and requires travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in power generation or related mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrical, control, and mechanical schematics and service manuals.
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures, diagnostic tools, and maintenance documentation.
• Comfortable with customer interaction and working independently with moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain gas reciprocating engine power generation packages and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine corrective maintenance on reciprocating generators and equipment.
• Monitor control panels, gauges, alarms, and instrumentation to ensure assets operate within parameters.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, starting, charging, fuel, ignition, sensor, and alarm issues using diagnostics and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate logs and service reports.
