Job summary

Weaver Consultants Group seeks a Field Technician to perform environmental field sampling and testing at landfill facilities and other sites. The role requires travel to out-of-town assignments, including extended hotel stays, with expenses covered by the company.

You will monitor soil, groundwater, leachate, and gas sampling, coordinate with project teams, and ensure quality data and reporting while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate’s in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 50% travel or more to project sites with out-of-town assignments.
• Access to a reliable vehicle and safe driving record; valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying climates, on active/closed landfills and industrial sites.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document construction activities at landfill facilities, including field inspections and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.
• Perform field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and metals.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors regarding site requirements and test results.
• Prepare data and reports for daily transmission to the Project Manager.
• Manage site safety and ensure adherence to safety standards.
