Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to support petroleum remediation projects under the Florida DEP PRP. This hands-on, field-based role is based in Tampa or Fort Lauderdale, FL, and involves monitoring cleanup systems, collecting environmental samples, and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 1–3+ years in environmental field or construction.
• Experience collecting groundwater/soil samples.

Responsibilities

• Collect groundwater, soil, and soil vapor samples at sites.
• Measure water levels and record field data.
• Operate and monitor remediation systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on pumps and equipment.
• Document site conditions and activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams.
