Job summary

Intertek’s Field Technician I in Jefferson, LA, will operate testing equipment and perform laboratory and field testing of soil and concrete materials at construction sites. The role requires following established testing procedures, documenting findings, and reporting data with attention to accuracy and safety.

Travel to local projects, up to 50%, is expected. Qualified candidates will have 2 years of CST experience, a high school diploma, and an ACI Level 1 credential; nuclear density

Qualifications

• Two years of Construction Materials Testing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Level 1.
• Nuclear Density Experience; ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and perform laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, plans, and diagrams to support testing and inspection activities.
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities, observations, and data collected.
