Job summary

Alarm Systems in Quincy, IL is seeking a full-time Security Technician to diagnose and repair alarm, access control, and CCTV systems. You will install and service residential and commercial systems, read blueprints, and perform routine preventive maintenance.

The position requires ability to travel up to 50% (on-call weekends) and lift 50+ pounds; starting wage is $21 per hour, with pay commensurate with experience. Benefits include 401(k), health, dental, life insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

Experience in security installation or maintenance is beneficial but not required.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ability to handle physical workload.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents is preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair alarm systems.
Troubleshoot and configure access control and intrusion systems.
Install and repair residential and commercial CCTV, burglary, and fire alarm systems.
Readjust equipment, repair, or replace equipment and test for operation.
Ability to travel overnight for consecutive days as needed to repair, fix, install, and test equipment.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on systems.
Run and terminate low voltage cable.
Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions.
Respond to customer service calls and perform scheduled maintenance calls.
