Job summary

Unified Building Group seeks a Field Technician to lead telecommunications deployments, routine service operations, and network installations. You will manage installation, repair, and upkeep of network infrastructure, while providing detailed daily logs and project scoping.

You will travel extensively to project sites, ensuring quality and safety in every deployment. A two-year background in telecom or industrial cabling, plus an associate degree or technical cert, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of practical involvement in telecommunications infrastructure, electronic system maintenance, or industrial cabling deployments.
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, SmartSheets and Procore or equivalent PM platforms.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening including background check and drug testing.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and isolate system faults within intricate electrical networks and related infrastructure.
• Execute operational assessments and validate newly commissioned infrastructure prior to turnover.
• Analyze engineering schematics, technical docs, and design layouts for deployment precision.
• Maintain thorough documentation including diagnostics, maintenance logs, and metrics.
• Liaise with management, site leads, and regulatory bodies to address integration challenges.
• Adhere to safety standards, including LOTO and OSHA regulations, while using company assets.
• Ensure compliance with UBG safety protocols across all tasks.
